Needs remote server... which does not work

This is great news. But my whole system is unusable. Despite making sure everything is up to date this morning, again, I cannot get any camera to jump out of ‘busy’. I even tried installing the updated 1.4 remote camera server on a bunch of different macs, all running 10.6.6 and the camera(s) all just stick in busy. So I can’t say if the ipad software is any good.

None of my systems are running Canon’s EOS utility and I also checked the activity monitor to see if any app is trying to connect to the canon 5d mkii… but nothing.

Without running any software at all, should the camera just be sitting in ‘busy’ mode like this?

Hoping to crowd-source the solution as I’ve not seen any suggestions online, other than “make sure everything is up to date” which it is.

Please help!

Works GREAT!!!

I just love this software it's very easy to use, very intuitive!! A must have for any kind of photographer!! Remember to Download the NEW server software before you try it out. If not it won't work!! Love the option to save a version of the picture in your iphone or ipod touch. Keep up the good work!!

Only work to certain degree on a Canon T1i

I hope the creator will read this:
Works (1) for Canon T1i, (2) same for either PC or Mac as server.
NOT work: (1) a flash off the camera as slave light, even though the flash works perfectly when the camera was not connected to the server. This was tested with everything exactly the same, and shots immediately. (2) Can fire but not AF, either in Liveview or not.
